Suffolk sheep are the most common in the United States.  They are described as having black face, ears, and legs that are free of wool.  The ewes are great producers and are good milkers.  Their lambs grow rapidly.  Suffolk lambs are known for having more edible meat and less fat than most other breeds.  This breed was selected by our farm for their fast growth rate and excellent feed conversion.  Ahualoa Hog Farm proudly displays its Suffolk lambs annually in 4-H Market Lamb competitions.
